Spelthorne Youth Awards

Where unfound stars can shine!

Do you know a special young person aged between 5 and 19 years who is living or receiving education within Spelthorne and deserves recognition for their achievements? You may wish to nominate them for a Spelthorne Youth Award!

We are looking for nominations in the following categories:

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Personal achievement
  • Community spirit
  • Triumph over adversity
  • Sports achievement
  • Unselfishness, kindness and bravery
  • Arts achievement (including performing arts)

Anyone can nominate a young person for an award. All young people nominated will be made aware of their nominations and then short-listed for an award. The top nominees from each category will be invited to a special awards ceremony and presented with a certificate and prize from the Mayor of Spelthorne.

Cllr Maureen Attewell, Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing, said: "The Spelthorne Youth Awards are all about recognising and celebrating inspirational young people. If you know a special young person who has excelled in a particular field, made a big difference to their local community, overcome very challenging circumstances or shown exceptional personal qualities, then we would love to hear about them."

The deadline for nominations this year is Friday 5 April.

Further information and nominations can be made online at www.spelthorne.gov.uk/youthawards.
